From the past generations to the current there have been constants messages about the process of changing into the image that is expected of God. The messages had been presented in different versions, either through books, seminars or from the church pulpit. Each writer or Pastor articulately designed the messages to shape the morality of mankind toward their creature, God! Why this age old method is still the same today, I, Zeb Igeleke and my wife, Rose Igeleke decided to incorporate a new approach. This new approach is to present the message of God in a practical format through drama. The drama that is exciting, funny and realistic to the day to day living. This is what is lacking in the current day Entertainment Industries.   

The Entertainment industries have used the Theater Stage, Television and Movies to express their view which ultimately have shaped the world. Initially, in the early days it was a taboo for Christians to watch television show or go to none Christian movies. During those early days of the advent of television and movies Christians were quick to criticize these industries especially, the Television. The television was known as the devil box used to influence the world. Gradually, Christians started embracing it. Pastors began telling Christians which programs to watch on Television and which movies to go to. Knowing that Television is here to stay some Pastors began to duplicate the style of their Sunday sermons into a television show. Other Pastors and Christian began using the television as a talk show. Neither their television sermons nor television shows really put into drama the practical application of their messages or teachings.  Without a doubt those messages from Pastors and all other preachers were still very effective in changing the world for God. But, Zeb Igeleke and his wife, Rose wants to use Good News Productions’ platform to enhance those messages through drama – the practical application of God’s words into our daily live.  

Preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ through drama either in the Theater, Television, or Movies is our main objective. Over the years we have been able to recruit and bring together professional Christians in Theater and drama to assist me in carrying out this great mission. We have done stage drama in the Theaters and other drug treatment centers. And the result had been overwhelmingly successful. The success is attributed to God because of the new ideas and good quality of stories.

The Entertainment Industry is running out of good quality of stories hence they are filing up their drama on TV or movies with explicit sexual scenes. Sex is an act that was reserved for privacy but it is now openly dramatized on the big screen as an acceptable form of entertainment. Nothing is left for imagination anymore because the Entertainment Industry has run out of meaningful stories.  But our Christian based drama will revolutionize the industry. We will focus more on meaningful stories. We will write the kind of stories that will bring lasting joy and peace to people; that people will reference to for deliverance from drug or other addictions. Miracle is possible, but focusing on Jesus Christ as the source of all life and the only giver of eternal life will result to individual happiness and joy.

Through drama we can bring Biblical stories by relating them to modern day’s life.  Sometimes we get inspiration for the next play through sermon we just heard or from the one we heard before. Because we can also preach and teach, we began using drama to express the spiritual thought in our minds. Few years ago Zeb expressed this creative mind through a beautiful fiction novel he authored, titled “House of Secrets” – you can find this novel on Amazon.
